Good-bye

Walking down the road,
just my thoughts and I.

I start to think about you,
and the time that flew right by.

I didn't get the chance,
to say what I had to say.

But I hope you can hear me now,
on this rainy, November day.

I know I never showed it,
but I always cared about you.

You always made me smile,
with the little things you do.

The way you would look at me,
smile, then turn away.

Without a single word,
you had just made my day.

I remember when you'd whisper,
sweet little things in my ear.

It's killing me slowly knowing,
that you're no longer here.

I miss you already,
and it's only been 1 day.

I pleaded with the lord,
I begged him to let you stay.

Everytime I needed you,
I would turn and there you'd be.

Without you in my life,
what will become of me?

I'm walking the down this road,
just my thoughts and I.

I can't believe I'm here,
Having to say good-bye.

touching

this poem touched me...I just lost a friend recently and this poem's feelings are similar to mine. My friend Seth was special to me too and he had that same way of smilin and then walkin away that would always make me grin...thank you for this poem..I really liked it.
