You Will Only Be My Friend

I tried to show you how much I cared
I figured your feelings werent totally there
I hoped your feelings would develope with time
but, I dont feel that happening with me at anytime

So Now I am doing something I dont really want to do
but, In time you will see that I am doing it for you
I am slowly walking away with tears in my eyes
I know for a fact you will never be mine

I guess what I am saying is I cant do it anymore
Every time that I am with you its only making me want you more
All I ever wanted was for you Let me know
Weather or not if you cared at all to let me go

What started out with no feelings at all
To me fighting then and waiting to fall

You have been there for me in good times and bad
You have seen me happy ...you have seen me sad
I want you to know that you mean the world to me..
You will be ONLY my FRIEND for eternity

Lori

That was a lovely poem Lori, I hope it's behind you know and you have found love elsewhere. Did he read your poem? did he comment? has he ever realised the depth of your feeling? Good luck finding the right person who will love you back as deeply as you loved this one.
