How Free, Do You Want To Be?

How free, do you want to be?
Give me your hand, I’ll set you free
I only dream the dreams, you share with me,
Come with me, I’ll set you free
You have a heart, and you have a soul,
Seems to me, they are lost, and cold
The warmth you need, you lock inside
Of your heart and soul…, away from me!
Give me your hand, and you will see
Truth and honesty, as you have never known
When you are down, your world spinning round
Direction is a flying cloud, seeking skies, that do not cry
Pick me up, then, gently lay me down
Upon your heart and soul, that you think
Is so cold, just pick me up, and gently, lay me down
Let me feel all that you have, kept, inside
I am your source of freedom, I’ll always be your friend
The wind is cold, the rain is so, vicious, falling down
The sun burns your body deep, not a drop of water
Can you find, your life is spinning round
You are confused, and yourself, you abuse
Yet, here I am, just pick me up, then
Gently lay me down, upon, your heart and soul
I am the truth and honesty, you have never known
Now, pick me up and gently lay me down
I’ll show you how, you can be free of
Any adversity, I am the friend, of your heart and soul
Now, pick me up and gently lay me down…,
“I am the poet’s pen”
Now, tell me, how free, do you want to be?
