Have You Ever Noticed

Have you ever noticed, after it has rained
That when you take a deep, fresh, breath,
You always, close your eyes?
This, is what I always see, as the thunder, fades…, from me

Its only the rainbow that remains, and
seems to complete its arch,
And becomes a circle, floating, drifting,
softly, around my heart

As if, an angel, peeled away, the clay
Hardened and dried, left from yesterday
All, of that is gently, rinsed away
Sad thoughts, unkind words, just fade away

A kaleidoscope of misty vapor, drifting from heart to soul
Wrapped within the colors of life, fresh, renewed
I see my heart and soul, embraced…, by a, rainbow
All this I see, and feel, when my eyes, are closed

Have you ever noticed, after it has rained
That when you take a deep, fresh, breath
You always close your eyes?
This is what I always see, as the thunder, fades…, from me

------- Author's Notes -------

Pamela O’Briens poem, “Driving In The Rain,” 09-29-03 was the spark that lit my pen for this effort. Thank You Pam. Tell you what, you guys are great, without your works, I’d have no need for ink, you are my fuel for poetry, I thank all of you.

Bliss

This was such a warm and beautiful poem Martin. I love the rain just as much as I love the moon. They're both my inspiration and peace from God. I loved this poem Martin, it reminded me how much I enjoy the rain...when the first drop falls from the sky, the wind finds a cool afternoon breeze, the clouds are gray and content...Beautiful! I thank you for writing this poem, it's so pure and so me. Only it was you who brought the beauty of the rain on paper, it almost felt I was in the heaven of rain itself. May God give blessing upon your beautious talent!~Enchantress~

Thanks, Ben, Lady Moon, Terrie...,

Very kind of you to have such rewarding comments for me to enjoy. As I have often admitted, a lot of my poetry is born from how, YOU, as poets, make ME feel and think. I'm only sharing back with you, the fruit of your own hearts.

Thank YOU,
MartinV

For Leah06, the best of life, is free, that is true!

Leah06,

I wrote this some time back and from reading some of your current work which is very good, I wanted to share this poem with you. I ask that you appreicate what is real and not what causes you worldly, pain, both are very different things.
