The Tear

You held me in your arms, then you saw the tears I cried
The tears, that I promised you, I, would never cry

Your men were calling Com'on Sarge, we have got to go,
Then I looked into your smile, and saw that, silver tear,
The one, we promised, we would, never cry

It was then, I knew, how strong, I had to be
As I heard your men & country, calling, you, away from me,
I had never seen you cry, I kissed, that tear, from your eye,
but I, never could say, just couldn't say, good-bye

I'll be here when you come home, standing, at our front door
Yes, and then I'll cry again, as I remember, that silver tear,
We promised, we would, never cry.

Most of all, I'll remember 'that tear,' the one, you cried for me.

Dreamer, your tear flows with love, as does our freedom!

Dreamer,

Yes, I use my own poem, and I hope it will express, we know that winter's coming on, and just want to express...,

Thank you Lord, for men like Clint, he is but, one of millions, who seal our freedom, with his blood. Sorry to say blood, with out Clint and all the others, we send to defend, or "pleasures"," we would be like them! Freedom, soaking into the dust!

How many brothers and sisters do we have, to protect, the freedom that we have? I pray to God the source, the power of all of us, please Lord, bring this blood shed to an end.

Other wise......., You tell me?

a promise to never cry is a promise hardly kept

Martin,
Thank you for this poem. It touches so deep in my heart, for when my fiancee "rocky" was sent to kuwait. I had promised not to cry when telling him goodbye. but my heart hurt so bad i couldnt keep it in. And now im crying once more, this poem touched me like many others. I have never kept my promises when it came to not crying. But we cant keep our emotions in. thank you agai martin. God bless you and your writings.
Tricia
