"Webster defines SEIZURE as;"

(A) The act, action, or process of seizing: The state of being seized: (B) The taking
possession of a person or property by legal process; (2) A sudden attack (as of Disease}

It is this author’s opinion, "our" Seizure is best described by Webster as (B.)

**********

Life’s poison flows through his veins and finally
settles into this serpent’s filtering mind,
which correlates the venom into a rhyme,
then its shared with his tongue which doesn’t write,
but spits at us, through a hollow fang, his pen
which injects the truth, as we do not wish to know it.

His words epitomize, the spiders’ web, each word is laced
with the webs effect , then, once captured in his poisonous net
he attacks us all. Feeding upon our weakness and our fears
He sucks us dry of all we hold dear. His words become our eyes,
opened wide, yet blind, we see his words as a song,
we listen far too long, then some of us,
crash, upon our own beliefs.

Using life, its blood and guts, its’ sin and love,
to suck us in and leave us dry of all we know,
of every place we’ve ever been, then he takes us,
where we’ve never been.

Into our sole, the part he shows, is damp and cold,
the smell of death, and burning flesh,
yet, with his words of horror,
our sole, he does refresh with visions of things
we have always known exist,
but our sole refused to see.

How can it be, such words, refresh our sole?
I’ll tell you how, as your sole stands upon its feet,
his words, take it to its knees
and reveals the horrors, that lie beneath,
real, horrors that could be in your face at anytime,
not imprisoned beneath your feet,
Not at all, like you think,
but in your sole, searching to be free.

He points them out to you and now I ask,
who is the prisoner of his worldly web,
is it he, who designed and defined,
or is the web that inhibits you,
one that you created, to satisfy
your spirit, sole and mind?

"Even if, you don’t like it, I say, "Happy Birthday!"

Well said. Well written, and well portrayed. Happy Birthday Seizure, and may I say that my personal dictionary defines Seizure as:
An amazing poet, a troubled spirit, but a constant presence in our lives.

Regarding Seizure's Surprise Birthday poem..

To all, i hope you don't mind, this was written for Seizure as birthday acknowledgement of his work and it was intened from all of us to "Z" Seiz.

Sometimes, I like to wait awhile when a poem is posted to see what replies I may find. There is a trick to this also, sometimes, I read someone else's work and I may not be able to come to grips, with that poem. So, I wait a while, to go back and read "your" replies. Then, I usually, find out from YOU, or the author, what the poet is saying. Then I come up with a reply that makes sense to me. Does what I just said, make any sense?

Anyway, thanks for all your replies.
