The battle has ceased, though just a few hours ago, hell was all around me. We lost three men today, two were friends of ours, my heart tells me, we knew them and their families, too well.

The other, no one knows, a replacement sent to fill the space, of a third friend, another, again, we knew too well. Sorry to share this, but it was your request, before I left, you ask me to only speak the truth, perhaps I do it to well?

Of the twelve of us that left that day, you knew them all, and saw, felt our kisses and farewells. You stood there and you cried on my shoulder, begged me to come back to you, like I was some crazy guy who preferred hell, over you.

Its a sad moment now, two friends are gone, just one body we recovered, but we will find, the other two. Remember, you said no lies, so all I say, though it hurts me so, it is the truth, I promised you.

Its not like home, where I could whistle for a cab to take me anywhere. This is hell, I hear the wounded cry, their blood runs away with their lives. If they are lucky, the blood will dry, forming scabs, that will save their lives. Sorry, I know this is gruesome, but I keep my promise and only tell the truth.

I’m tired and hungry, don’t know what to do, get some sleep or eat this pre-packaged crap!



Oh GOD, I miss you! Okay, sorry, lost it for a moment, its not tears in my eyes, it just gets so cold over hear at night, guess it makes the eyes water, their not really tears, it just sounds that way.

One bit of news that contains some cheer, this land has the brightest moon. Its light is cold, but lights things up, makes it look like 12:00 O-Clock noon.

I need to try and get some sleep, I have a piece of ground, not at all like our feathery bed at home, but it will do, until I home with you..
