Midnight Shift

Lacey curtains
drawn in bows
a disfigured silhoutte
heating in the glow.
shadows were moving
but shyed away
but they are not lost
they have found the ending of another day.
silient mysteries
are stored in the dark
unquestionable surprises
will surely leave its mark.
the midnight shift
creates a mental rift,
for two.
the beholder of the night
is unaware of what looms.
the impulses pump in red
swollen flowers puff out venom
suddenly my life has been shed.
down seasons follow
of purified shame
you call out to it like a god
but to me it's a diffrent name.
memory pain will engulf me in blazes
open my eyes to the heat
all red on the gauges
her scent is bittersweet
