Letting Go
23 December, 2003

I can't believe its nearing the end.
I don’t want to have to let you go.
It wasn’t a mistake when I fell for you.
But soon it’ll be the end, we both know.

I have only one major fear now.
And that is that you’ll find someone new.
What if this happens?
I don’t know what I’d do.

I know that I’m nothing special,
I shouldn’t expect you to care.
But the pain I know I will soon embrace,
I’m sorry but it just isn’t fair.

I can't stop thinking about us.
You have been too good to me.
I just wish we could hold on forever,
And the future? I only wish we could see.

I hope we can stay together forever
Even though you’re moving far away
Please know I will spend even longer thinking of you
I guess we can still talk everyday...

But I just want you to accept this one promise:
And that is that I will never find anyone new.
I mean, I never even believed in love,
That is, until I met you.

I can't believe what change will do.
When you least suspect it, it’ll tear people away.
In the end, I don’t know what will happen,
Please know that I still and will always love you anyway...
