All Of The Joy

Oh, what I wouldn’t give now
for a few stolen moments of time,
to recapture and live in my childhood again
when all of the joy was mine!

A wish for a rustling whisper,
a tender echo of noise.
For the joyous sound of my father’s laughter
and the musical lilt of his voice.

To trip the light fantastic
in the arms of the giver of love,
and retake of the joy that was mine back then
just in the feel of his touch!

To be lifted again and then balanced.
Perched, in the relative stance,
then to twiddle and twirl with my hero again,
oh, to be given the chance!

There’s nothing that I wouldn’t give now
nothing that I wouldn't trade,
to relive my favorite memory of him
back in my childhood days!

To sway to the rhythm and cadence
of the steps that are older than time,
to dance on the toes of my father again...
when all of the joy was mine!

Sweet

I wish I could go back in time too; and relive my childhood years too! GREAT ONE NORA!
