Kept For A Rainy Day
25 November, 2003

Buried
Are the undisclosed remains
Of that moment
And my true self

Gingerly
They were laid to rest in peace
As to not be disturbed
And to remain intact

Sentimental
I attempted to retrieve it
This capsule
Of a past individual

But alas
The burial grounds could not be accessed
Due to time
And concrete barriers

Forgotten
Are the essential ingredients
In the recipe
Of my true self

Buried
Too keep them secret and safe
They’ve escaped
And are forever lost now
