What You & I Have In Common
12 August, 2003

At some point in both of our lives, we've become something we don' want to be
Nothing more than a product of discipline and a repetitive history
At some stage in both of our lives, we've found a way to escape
Through things like drugs, and rock 'n' roll, and a little factor called fate
At some moment in both our lives, we've become immune to our emotions
Built walls around ourselves because we never took the necessary precautions
At some time in both of our lives, we've searched for what we really believe
And what it all comes down to in the end, is I need you and you need me

------- Author's Notes -------

This poem is not written about myself and someone I know personally, it is written to all of you readers as if I was talking to you. Because even though I might not konow your real name or where you grew up or how many times you've fallen in love-I know what life is. And we all share the same life........
