High Expectations
21 April, 2003
Author: Pamela O'Brien

I expect to fall in love
Get married and live in a house
Have children and a career
I never expected a broken heart
I never expected a fresh start
I never expected for love to become a fear

I expect to travel the world
Meet dozens of interesting new people
Create stories for my memory
I never expected to learn so much
I never expected an eye-opener, as such
I never expected to solve the mystery

Expectations can let you down
Sometimes what you want is where you least expect it to be found.
