To Look And Touch
8 April, 2003

A fleeting look
Can be a dangerous thing
Sometimes we jump to conclusions
And misinterpret what it means

An innocent touch
Can turn into fatality
Sometimes we long for a companion
And we ignore all reality

A distant heart
Can result in catastrophe
Sometimes I can't help but remember
How cruel love can be

~..~

Love is never cruel my dear. It's the kind of love of misconcepted feeling that we bore that makes us suffer sometimes. However, you have a nice style. simple that makes the poem striking

Hmmmm...

Matter of opinion, one man's hell is another's paradise. Love has been cruel to me. You're lucky it hasn't to you ;o) Thanks for commenting!

I agree!

Love can be cruel. Some have just not experienced what others have. Anything can be cruel, even happiness!
