Do Not Disturb
26 January, 2003

A long time ago
The valiant hooves of love left a dust trail behind them
And eventually the dust settled back into its place

Beneath it lie thousands of hidden emotions just waiting to be discovered again
However, love never traveled this way anymore
It had found smoother paths to follow then the rugged terrain of my heart

And as time passed the treasures below the surface burrowed into the depths of the ground
Deep down
Where they could never be found
Fossils of an era lost

But alas, erosion has begun to revive
The buried remains of my love
And as much as they long to be recovered
There is an acquired comfort to the loneliness

Please do not kick up the dust
I much prefer it settled
