Through The Looking Glass

vinebar

The beams of sunlight appear like melted butter through the ornamental glass
If you turn it there is an array of colors and marvelous contrast
So much history behind its creator and the intricate designs
It absorbs the air, the conversation and the over-attentive eyes
Impossible to ignore the shimmering beauty that it witholds
But be cautious not to break it - my heart, my spirit, my precious soul.....

hmm....

Honestly, I have no idea what it's about :). In the beginning of the poem I thought you were just describing a looking glass... which was an interesting choice of subject matter in my opinion. But the last thing you said, "my heart, my spirit, my precious soul," I have to wonder if you are trying to describe your soul as a looking glass...

Well, if I can wonder so much about a six line poem, it had to have been written well... but I would like some clarification about that... thanks...

Seizure...

You were right In one metpahorical sense I am describing my soul as a looking glass - and the descriptions of the glass are meant to be symbolic of my personal characteristics as well. Actually, I am surprised you deciphered it, upon reading it this last time it doesn't make as much sense as it did originally! LOL
Oh, and I guess the old saying goes for poems too - its the quality of the words, not the quantity I guess.....
Thanks for taking the time to read :O) Haven;t seen any new ones from you lately though - be sure to send them my way if you do.

Pamela...

Thanks for clearing it up there :). It was a good read.

About new Seizure poems... I wouldn't worry too much about it... I submitted 3 new ones to Dreamer... it's just when she gets around to posting them. After that, I'll give those about a week to set in, then I have 3 more already written and ready to drop on the site. I just don't want to put up too many at once, I think it takes away from the other writings.
