Faceless Companion

(dedicated to seizure)

Your poem "My World" made me contemplate,
The way things are this day and age,
Families aren't always together,
Relationships don't last forever,
But when I hear you say the words,
That your soul has died and you always hurt,
I want to be more then a faceless companion,
I want to be there to hug you and show you compassion.
And although it may seem like a ridiculous offer,
I too am all alone and full of discomfort,
Perhaps not in the very same way,
But my heart aches for company every day,
My soul cries the tears that my eyes refuse,
Leaving me with the feeling of spiritual abuse.
And if I had even just ONE friend,
To hold me in their arms until I felt strong again,
I'm sure that I would be alright,
I could win the impossible fight,
So here I write to open the door,
And tell you that yes, there is so much more,
Then pain and suffering and constant rejection,
There's a little thing called human affection.
I am willing to listen to your words,
Just listen, and offer no advice,
Because I believe that having someone to talk to,
Can eventaully save your life.

!SEIZURE!

Hey, now that I got your attention.....have you read this or no? I wrote it awhile back and I never got a response or reaction from you at all so I was just curious as to whether you'd even seen it. If you have, and you chose to stay quiet, its all good. Just didn't want any material to get overlooked :o)

Pamela...

Yeah, this one was overlooked. Probably due to one of my extremely hectic phases. Infact, just this week... I think this might be the first time in the past 7 days I've even stopped by here. Anyway, I liked your poem, and I think you already have my email address already anyway, don't you? Just send your addy my way and I'll shoot some messages your way.

The poem was well written, sorry I had skipped over it earlier.

The Poem Doesn't Matter

I appreciate your liking for the poem, but I was more concerned with your well-being :o) I actually don't have your e-mail address - can I ask Becky for it?
And don;t worry, we all have extremely hectic phases. If we said we didn't, we'd be lying.
LOL
Good to hear from ya

My World

Pamela, I had a poem written for me that was "My World" also, not too long ago. Is it a coincidence? Beautiful poem
