Learning To Dance
18 July, 2002
Author: Pamela O'Brien

vinebar

Weightless on our feet we twirled,
Until we had seen the entire world,
Our embrace was never broken,
Not a single word was spoken.

Once I knew the steps by heart,
We finally danced ourselves apart,
And I continued on my way,
Practicing most of every day.

I have never forgotten that day,
When happiness swept me away,
For a lifetime of dancing cheek to cheek,
And gave me the answers to all I seek.
