A Walk In The Snow
Author: Pondering Red

fiery snow blows eastwards
outside my large windows.
i watch the excitement
a family of rusty leaves
stays glued to the branches
clothed in a crystal wetness,
they twitch and move sadly.

i leave the building,
cloaked and hooded,
eyes peering out,
at grey stone galleries
and antiques shops,
decorated with branches of pine.
faces of people sipping
frothy caffinated drinks
stare out of the warm cafes.
i trudge along
little armies of specks of snow
attack my vision.

in the supermarket,
so many flowers and rows of tangerines,
so many old people with tiny carts
mothers with snow covered toddlers in strollers.

fingers clenching heavy grocery bags,
i walk through
a transparent veil of mist.
faceless bodes
with bags and babies slide by.
in the bank, Mary, the teller,
decked out in holiday red with
platinum hair and too much blush
greets me jovially.
she is the first to speak to me today.
i move along with heavy steps.

I really love it

I really enjoyed reading this poem! I hope you get this comment. I hope to come acroos other poems you wrote kind of like this one. I myself like nature and things . The way you put together what you were seeing and natures leaves and snow flakes was beautiful and really painted a picture in my mind. I just loved it. Please write more poems like this one. Keep up the good writing! :)
