Author: Pondering Red

a splash of freckles
looped earrings and hair all frizzed
long necked stephanie
always wearing boots
men flock around like flies
but never stay

a dash of colour
worn out skirts and squinting eyes
long haired stephanie
always reading books
men like her many charms
but always leave

a swish of her glass
cigarettes and cans of beer
long fingered stephanie
always thinking hard
men take her to the bars
but seldom pay

a flash from her eyes
slender body and curvy hips
long legged stephanie
always looking good
men loved her body
but still they left stephanie

Stephanie would cry if she knew that a poem so beautiful was written in her honor.
Almost made me cry - me and Stephanie have a lot in common.
