I Loved You Before We Met

Before I entered
this human life
as I was floating amidst the star dust,
I thought I caught a glimpse of you.
Were you that lone star
in Andromeda Galaxy
twinkling ever so slightly ?

And as a young girl
throughout the centuries of human time,
Were you that young boy,
hiding in the forest,
peeking through the evergreen branches
to catch a glimpse of us in our primal innocence,
as we frolicked and played our young woman games ?

You have crawled through to reach me
through my time space
over the moments of the years
as a wisp of wind that has stirred the branches
of trees when the air was still,
speaking in another language
words that echoed in low haunting tones.

In dreams I meet you
in the maze of passages that I am caught in.
We pass occasionally
as you run wildly on your marathon
trying to cry dry tears that burn your face
and as I run from my fear.

And now, only at late night time,
when we enter the depths of the blackest darkness,
I catch a sparkle of light from your eyes,
a remnant of star dust.
Your image is shrouded by a deep mist,
a veil of secrecy,
You try to speak out.
I hear your silence.
It reaches the mountain tops of my meditations
in the form of crisp glistening snow crystals.

Yes. I met you before we were introduced.
And I will meet you yesterday...
So, come now..
and find me today...
