Sun Cycle

The sun rises in a majestic field of fire
Chasing away the dark veil of night
Painting the sky with its golden hue
Revealing the beauty of all things new
Greeting the earth with a new day
Gently warming all living things
Encouraging them to wake to a new day
To open up and see new things
Discovering the beauty of the Earth
To rise up and follow night's dreams
To sail on the wings of imagination

As the Sun rises into midday
It shines forth its brilliant light
Allowing us to see what can be done
And see the dreams we give chase
It gives warmth to those who cry
It gives assurance to those who sigh
It is ever constant in its loving caress
Wrapping its arms in warm embrace
Smiling for the happiness
That its loving hug can bring

And in the ending of the day
The sun is sad to go
But wait it must for a new day
To let its light unfold
It cries streaks of fire
Promising to return again
Painting the sky with dying fire
It reveals the final beauty of its end

Illustration

Nature is so marvellous, isn't it Keith? I couldn't agree more! And------your description, took me places in my wonderful imagination, because I love to dream about nature... I love your illustration, your poetry reminds me of modern art! Outstanding Keith!
