From time to time I look back,
and I realize it wasn't easy at all.
You held my hand; I held yours tight.
You kept me in tune to what is right!
Your directions true,
your shoulders strong you would never let me fall.
I cried your name;
you were always there, even on those darkest nights.
Sometimes bruised,my spirit broken,
you would raise my chin
so I could find my way.
Dad, I have found that it's not a simple task,
and sometimes I forget to say
"I Love You."
So on this day of honors I say to you
Happy Father's Day!
