I'm sure as I look back It was another place.
I'm sure I would wish It could have been another time.
I can still sense your presence, I still seek your face.
The winds flow with your memories, was this love a crime?
My blood raced through my being with the heat of desire.
You have left my heart to wander forever across the heavens.
My heart beats with love, why have you left me on fire?
Your sight of beauty, The taste of love you have given.
Sometimes I look back, I thank God for all those treasures.
I shut my eyes, I covered my ears but your powers I could not refuse.
I heard your music, I loved those blinding pleasures.
I remember every sound, were you my fleeting Muse?
I held you close, I felt your love You became my heart.
You were my reason, You were my candle in the dark.
