Insomia 2

Cigarette burning 'tween my thumb and forefinger,
Smoke rising, shaped like my undreamed dreams
Shadows lurking, eyelids growing heavier
Ashes falling, debris of my silent screams.
Smoke clouding the room, oblivious of my frame
Nearer, invading my awareness, it comes without shame
It hurts the more it gets though, while time slowly flies
Reality hurts, the way smoke gets in your eyes.
