Our Last Day
Author: Rian

vinebar

We both didn't want the day to come
But we knew it was the time
We had to say our good-byes
And let our tears shine

We walked down that same street
At least 20 times
You said you didn't want me to leave
I said it would be fine

I said I come to visit
As much as I possibly could
And we'd forever be best friends
Like we knew we always would

We'd swear we'd always wear our locket
And put a new picture in when we'd meet
And we'd do the same as always
And walk down that very street

Very Nice Poem

This poem really touched home for me for I haven't seen my best friend of 20 years in the last 5 years....Keep up the good work and keep sharing your poetry.

I liked this poem. All my best friends have moved away, and so have I. Brought me back. =)
