Peace Not Choice

"Peace on Earth"
Is not politically correct,
These times in Christmas season.
"Choice on Earth",
Really means a baby's solemn death.
Demand our rights,
Deny their rights,
That our selfish wants be granted.
"Peace on Earth"
To all on earth will not, this day fit,
Today's enlightened self-interest.
Should. liberalism still progress,
The "A Christmas Carol" will abort,
The cheerful Tiny Tim.
Peace on earth, good will to men,
For all with open ears to hear:
Responsibility is the key,
For peace on earth good will to men

Deep thinking

There is alot of deep thinking here, that some people may not understand, and therefore think it's `stupid' Is peace on earth really attainable, and can we get everyone to be responsible...so much selfishness in the world, we've forgotten the meaning of Christmas.

A deep dish, nice!

Very nice poem Roger. So much thought in such a short poem. In my view of this and it's just my view, I see abortion, being liberal( with religion, gay rights, political, etc.) No peace on earth- our world has turned into one big battle field, no lines, a new type of war. Peace on earth? It will have to start over. Very nice deep short poem, with alot of thought for me. Thanks for sharing your poem, I appreciate it. Nice to read your work, your style, I learn from this, even if others don't.

The Inspiration of the Poem "Peace Not Choice"

Geezer - You came the closest to the intent of the poem. It really needs an explaination.

It is in response to the Christmas Card put out by Planned Parenthood with the phrase "Choice on Earth".
