Poet's Pace

Races of my mind continue like an hour glass
Dreams go on, they live, they hide
They put a beat in my stride
When I'm walking down the sidewalk
They are to blend into a splendor
It is then I stop to surrender
I render all thoughts of life
And how it always begins to flood
All these things a poet has in his blood
Of many accuracies that come to mind
When such happenings do take place
And that it should trigger a glow onto my face
Settling all chapters as my soul comprehends
And that I as a person stop faking
Faking about all the conciousness my heart is taking
Expressing the truth of what is reality
Meaning fantasy will forever be known to dwell
And at that, I will never tell
The secrets of a dream once lived
I perceive to extend what my heart can show
Or, better yet, what my heart will know
After all, I feel it as I go down life's road
Meaning if I keep this way of dreaming, off goes the load
