Times Were Tough

Her tears are constantly shed,
Throughout her times of despair,
And of all the things I've ever said,
I always knew I would care.

I worry that the world
Will overcome her with pain.
But if she ever left this world,
I know I'd never be the same.

We are so much a like,
In so many possible ways.
And when I'm feeling sad and Blue
She brightens up those unhappy days.

This year was her worst,
Experiencing loss and grief.
I just hope I helped her
With comfort and relief.

Now that I'm leaving,
Next year wont be the same.
So I hope this friendships strong enough
To last and burn the brightest flame.
