You Cannot Hide True Love!

Many things have changed in the month you’ve been away
We’ve become “Just friends” or whatever they say

I still have this love for you deep down inside
This would not go away no matter how hard I tried

I am not sure what to do to get rid of this feeling
I will have to pray to God for his ultimate healing.

I started to think I would be able to cope
Then you came home and I realized… “nope”

I got to see you for a couple of days
I realized I still loved you in so many ways

I know you told me that we need to be apart
For some reason I don’t think that is coming from your heart

For love is something that you cannot hide
No matter how much you thought or how hard you tried

It was your eyes that gave you away that day
They told me the whole story no matter what you say

The mouth has the ability to deceive and lie
While the eyes have the ability to blink and cry

I still have the hope we will be together someday
Your eyes told me the story that you feel the same way

Your eyes had that sparkle that I used to see
That someday I thought would bring me to one knee

God has not taken our love for one another away
And unless He does I am going to tell you this day

“I will wait forever if it allows you to see
That you and I are meant to be”

I still love you, babe!

That brought tears to my eyes

That poem is so true, so full of love, so perfect. if you were writing this to your girlfriend or someone, she's a very lucky girl to have such a sweet poetic guy like you.
