Two For War

I dont know who I can believe now,
I just feel like a pawn between the two of you.

Please sir,
please ma'am,
take a step back,
please step down,
take a look inside of me and see how I feel about this all.

You sir,
I have devoted such little thought to these past years,
I've hated you so.

You ma'am,
you always make Him seem like such a bad man,
I think your the source of this hate,
tell me if you still hate yourself.

The one dosnt want me to be doing anything,
to be only what she wants me to be,
not to follow my own fancys and stars.

The other wants me to be doing the lesser of the evils,
but over reacts to how I look,
though this one's only seen a piece of the iceburg.
You hint that I am a coward,
I'm afraid of life and what it has to offer.

You,
on the other hand,
simply say I have an overactive imagination,
and I simply have things I need to sort out.

I feel used between you two adults,
is this some form of abuse?

Just please make it stop,
I'd rather be ignored than go through this,
a conflict of two opposing minds.

Take no side

It is wasted friendship. Place the foot firmly on the ground and not in the trap
