It was impossible to hold back the tears
as mothers lost they're sons.
Those of us who were not there,
were not the only ones...
it seems we all lost someone.
The pieces of our lives now scattered
and dreams of tomorrow shattered,
our flag is ripped and torn.
Broken hearts are the reminders
of emotions amidst the storm,
that used to tower above us..
now have fallen to the ground.
In the remains of what used to be
we are reminded that we are what is left,
as our nation moves numbly forward
as these days we'll always remember
how all that we considerd sacred came undone
as we stood in fear and full of regret, this day etched in memory...
September 11, 2001 we will never forget!

September 11th

Your poem was so touching, I don't think that there was not one person who didn't cry that day across the world. I also wrote a poem on that day, mine is called
GOD OH GOD. Your other poems are amazing.
I wish I could turn back time. There are unspoken words and there are no words to explain and hope at least there can be peace for the victims. Lets pray for the world. Thank you

Cowards.

Only cowards attack the innocent bystanders. We've seen how they've folded when faced with the combined might of the US and British Armed Forces. So they continue to plot the destruction of the innocent bystanders. Our women, children and civilian population. If you're unable to fight back, you are a potential victim of these dogs. I apologize to the canine species for classifying them dogs. At least dogs have courage. These creatures do not. They have no courage, no honor, and no morals. They are a bacteria and we are the antibiotic.

Truly Tragic

September 11, 2001 was a sad time for the whole world. Millions of mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters, were found dead under a ton of rubble when the Twin Towers collapsed. I don't have no hate against any country; but what some of those middle easterners who drove in an airplane and ran into D.C's pentagon and the Twin Towers, killing themselves and innocent victims, just blows my mind. To sacrifice your life for the leader of your country and carry a sickening mission like that for no reason; and then murder the innocent. Makes me cry just typing it up here. They'll never get to see sunshine, because they're lives were cut short by those people. Some kids could've been in school right now, getting their education, while some parents could've been working and supporting their families; but it all has ended with terrorism.
When are these people gonna learn that violence is not the solution. Attacking America out of the blue, for no reason whatsoever.

Again Scott, a good and sad poem at the same time. Thank you for dedicating this poem to all of those who have lost their lives; including the many
fire-fighters. Much love goes out to them and the rescue squad who were able to save some people from this devastating attack.

And for the survivors, you are truly blessed indeed!
