On that day God looked, he saw a young man
He Wished he could help, the day it all began
The man became so sad, nothing helped him then
He asked God for help, time and time again
God wanted to help, but he just could not
He led his own life, to him, God just forgot
He got so angry, for being all alone
He burned his crucifix, then tore apart his phone

The next day he felt better, he was not afraid
He gave no regard, to the god he betrayed
A few more months had passed, he broke down again
He has nothing left, nothing left within
No one would notice, if he were to die
No one was around, for him to say goodbye
God saw this man now, as he drove downtown
He knew what might happen, and couldn't wipe his frown

God could not stop him, as he climbed each stair
Of the tallest building, he really did care
His own creation, cursed him from below
When he sent such praise, a mere year ago
God felt defeated, he couldn't help his son
He really cared for, each and every one
The man jumped from grace, hit the ground and died
Nothing could be done, and on that day God cried

The theme in this poem is like "you ignore , u erase me from ur mind, and see what u get". But like not so harsh. I odnt know if that is correct, i'm just throwing out things. Good job

Ash & Ashley

Ash, your comments are always appreciated.

Ashley R, this one was real different for me. I'm an atheist, but I put myself in the position of God looking down at me. I am the man God is watching in the poem. I don't really believe in God (though my disbelief came about in the same way as the character in the poem), but I thought it would be a challenge for me to do. I tried it and it came close to how I envisioned it, but not quite good enough. Oh well, there's always next time.
