The Real World

Don't Shelter me
from this cruel world
It's honesty that I seek

Profanity I hear
don't cover my ears
for this is
what the world speaks

Don't home school me
so i won't see
the violence
in our schools

I need to prepare
for when you're not here
So I can survive
in this world
