Drowning
22 November, 2002

vinebar

drowning in life
gasping for purpose, meaning
in this constant strife
why am I bleeding, breathing?

trudging through the monotony of succeeding days
losing my mind in this endless maze
fumbling aimlessly in a senseless daze
trying to discern truth through life's thick haze

tempted by the unknown concealed behind Death's door
as I shudder in a life that chills me to my core
can I take it any more?
What am I living for?

What am I living for?
