Going Home
17 April, 2001

Life is so precious,
and so very short.
But, nothing more precious
than going home to our Lord.

Doctor's appointments
every Tuesday at two.
Prescriptions to fill,
a supply for a month, just won't do.

Symptoms are painful,
and their wearing her down.
And the cure is much worse,
to a bed she is bound.

As I watch her asleep and resting,
I should've been sadder.
But nothing on earth, could ever
Have made her better.

So the heavens have opened,
For and Angel of our own.
And the Lord held out his hand,
And said, "Now, lets go Home."

Goodbye Tia

This poem was written by my Aunt Sylvia who passed away today(2/11/06). I will always remember her lively spirit and the good times we had. She was a wonderful person who is no longer bound by her illness. Her beatiful smile will always remain in my heart. I love you Tia!!

That's sad

I never knew Sylvia Correa, except that she wrote poems on this site, but I send you all my condolences. It's depressing to know that she's gone. I wish you all the best.
