Lost

I stood numb
Feeling cold
Under the heat
Of the sun.

Tears wanting to fall
My heart racing
And the beating
Drowns all the other sounds.

I could not look at you
Nor even steal a glance
I only feel you beside me
Saying things I don't want to hear.

And the last words
Were the only ones I heard.
"Let us stop seeing each other."
Then you were gone.

How heart breaking...

How heart breaking Bench, seeing that your love is gone! I'm still young, but I can imagine what it must feel like! This poem automatically layed it out for me. Great Job! Keep Writing, and I'll keep reading!

"cold, Numb under the heat of the sun"...

Good writing here, Bench! I agree with the Lady Moon, heart breaking. You used some powerful words to express it. "Numb under the heat of the sun", very descriptive!
Keep writing! Thanks!
