I Love The Rain

the rain came pouring down on us
got soaked , a tattle -tale sign that shows we ditched your friends party already once tonight
I'm certain they will understand
they didn't miss us earlier amongst the crowd
slow dancing to the music took us to our own little world

you came closer and whispered in my ear
the romantic tone in your voice is all I hear
you gently kissed my cheek
you reached for my hand, together away we did sneak

we were like children splashing and clowning around
unaware how drenched we already were with the new love we found
I will never forget the day we meet
here we are in the rain soaking wet

I love this awesome feeling
I love the feel of the rain
rain or shine,I love being with you

folks thought we were insane
we started slow dancing outside
we distant ourselves from the crowd
they were just an illusion in our vision
that we created....
at that point no one else existed
the feelings we had became very strong

ahh.... what is it about the rain
that takes us back to those precious days
when worries were an adult thing
here we are reliving it again

the rain is such a sensual gift
an experience that all should live and relive
thank you for this glorious moment
this moment so sensual and yet so innocent and tame
the lovely touch of you and the rain....

thank you honey..and I thank the rain...
I love you honey...I love the rain....
ahhhh....what a lovely feeling...

Tender and Sweet!

Nice Poem Terrie! It really reminded me of how much I loved the rain, but it would be awesome if it could remind me of something so intimate as that! It was sucha romantic way of looking at the rains beauty and memory! I loved this one so beautifully! Great-No-Beautiful JOB!

just reminiscing...

with my own words that i wrote.....as i sat outside standing in the rain, looking up to catch a few raindrops in my mouth..i got the thumbs up from my neighbor..as he said "hey alright"...perhaps my facial expression said too much...feeling every little rain drop took me to the past..standing there soaking wet...rain .was always such a sensual time for us..oh and the thunder storms were often so wild..and.....well you know the rest........thank you for allowing me to breathe in the rain as i relived...an old dream........the love of my past......

thank you......it was a good feeling....to feel that love again........................(breathing in and.....out)
