Lamentations Of The Noldor: Of The Kinslaying

The Great Sea now Feanor had to cross
Yet the Noldor no skill possessed
In building a vessel, that's their loss.

To the Teleri help they sought
Great craft builders, sea-worthy ships.
But Feanor's plea was to naught.

Olwe, prince of Alqualonde, the lord of the Teleri
Refused to aid the Noldor,
Their only desire to be a race free.

And Feanor rose in anger
Set kin against kin
The sound of war resembled thunder.

And thus because of the kinslaying
A curse the Noldor had to endure.
Valinor will be for their taking.

For blood spilled, blood they will render
Their immortality withdrawn
The Noldor now will have to suffer.

------- Author's Notes -------

These are original works insofar as I based them on a story by J.R.R. Tolkien.
It was in prose form and I translated it into poetry
