The Life God Laid Out For Me
15 October, 2003

My life was carefully selected
just as a mother lays out her childs clothes
God laid out my life for me
he knew what I was able to accept
he knew not to give me more than I could handle
he tried to give me the life I truly desired
instead he choose a life I could learn from even more
a life that would challenge me and make me strong
every person he put in my path served a purpose
they helped me grow
he had a long talk with me
about this life I will live
and accepted the duties of my role
to love with my heart and soul
until it hurts and my heart starts to ache
he sprinkled some dust
added a touch of his love
blew a kiss before my love came to me
did the same before both my children were conceived
he brought me a man to share my love with
he brought me a daughter and a son
my fountain of youth
all good things do come to an end
the sweetness in my life
lasted a bit longer than most
he promised not to be too far from me
in case I should need him and call out to him
he shared so much of my pain
he proved his love for me ...
when he gave me the vision of Jesus
opening up his arms to comfort & hug me
as he died on that cross....
