Thank You, Hon

for a short while we put our life on hold
it won't be long before more sadness will unfold
for an indefinite time ,we understand a sick friend of mine needs a lift
we have not forgotten her friendship, a priceless gift

the words rushed thru my veins
a sadness that no-one can be blamed
I've had many friends that I have meet thru-out the years
but Gail, shared all of my joys mischiefs and tears

Hon,thank you for understanding my everyday thought
for all the happiness you brought
in my absence... I will take walks with you
I will close my eyes and find comfort of you in my vision
I will leave you with a thought inspired by this friend:

caress a dove
mend it's broken wing
hold it loosly, nurture it with love
set it free and let it fly
it will return before we have a chance to say good bye

Hon,you are my soul
put me back in your control
things that seem minute
in time I found out take root
a dying friend needs the presence of my attention
I was clueless to all the things you discussed and mentioned
today ...I knew just what you meant
thank you for the roses you sent

thank you for you unselfish ways
for bringing comfort to her last days
in honoring the wish of an old friend
who's life will soon end
someone I will surely miss
how could it end like this
I do not want to cry,
help me tell her good-bye

thank you for granting her this last wish
thank you for finding my best friend
Thank you, Hon...Thank you
