War Of The Heart And Mind

Why can't I let him go?
Does he even care that my life is low?
You can't let go because he is all you've got.
But guess what, he's not at all distraught!

What am I supposed to do without him?
Does he wonder why my world is now dim?
Live like you did before you found your true love.
He's not sad, he flies with joy in the heavens above!

Maybe I heard him wrong, perhaps I misunderstood?
Why can't he just love me. Why can't I get things back to good?
No, you heard him right, he said the spark is gone.
Your such a fool, why do you keep holding on?

Maybe I can cry to him, beg him for another chance.
I can remind him of all my sacrifice, and our 3 years of romance.
You already did that remember? What has happened to your pride?
Spare me all your sacrifice, face it, his love for you has died!

What did I do wrong, I wish I could turn back time.
I loved him with my all, is that such a crime?
People just grow apart, isn't that what he said?
Remember right before he tore out your heart, he had you in his bed?

Why do I still love him? Why do I continue to hold on?
Why can't I accept that our love is truly gone?
Love can never be forced, remember that it can only be blind sight.
For you it was worth it.
But for him it wasn't worth the fight.

Right on Tonya!

Tonya, you've put out the best poem I've read tonight. I mean, it's all true; all guys want you for is the thrill and not the personality. In this poem you've shown to so many girls that some guys are just creeps. All they want is your virginity. Right on Tonya! You showed them all!
