When You Came Into My Life

I wish I were a child again,
something I never thought I would say.
I have been through so much,
I never thought it would turn out this way.

I would change so many things,
if I could just start over fresh.
I would have acted more like myself,
instead of trying so hard to mesh.

I wish I stayed on the right path,
I would have never become lost.
Losing my innocence,
is something I would change at any cost.

I could have refused that first drink,
and told my first love no.
I wish I never put up a front,
just to put on a show.

I would have never fallen for the player.
I would have studied harder in school.
I would have listened to my mother,
I would have never broken any of her rules.

I would have never smoked that first ciggarette.
I would have never ran away from home.
I would have learned how to depend on myself,
and learned how to be on my own.

And though I cannot turn back time,
and make everything go right.
Im willing to start clean now,
your love helped me see the light.
Thank you my love

Bravo! Bravo!

How cool of a poem is this, I mean it's so neat the way you laid out all that insight! Great job Tonya!
