Hope And Strength

I've been through alot
My past is filled with sorrow.
But I never gave up,
I always lived to see tommorow.

Even when my heart was broken
over and over again,
I never fell apart,
I always learned to mend.

Even when my father left me,
and my mother was all I had,
I learned to forgive and forget,
I laughed when I was sad.

Even when I lost close friends,
to death and other things,
I learned to be strong
and look forward to what the future brings.

Even when they said I was a failure,
and never could amount,
I knew I had my strength and hope
and in the end that it would somehow count

many thanks

Thanks you silkened moon, it's nice to know you find it inspiring. Writing poetry helps me express my feelings in ways that I cannot by words from the mouth. So I like doing it but to know someone enjoys reading them as much as I like writing them, means alot. Thank you
