Hope And Strength

I've been through alot
My past is filled with sorrow.
But I never gave up,
I always lived to see tommorow.
Even when my heart was broken
over and over again,
I never fell apart,
I always learned to mend.
Even when my father left me,
and my mother was all I had,
I learned to forgive and forget,
I laughed when I was sad.
Even when I lost close friends,
to death and other things,
I learned to be strong
and look forward to what the future brings.
Even when they said I was a failure,
and never could amount,
I knew I had my strength and hope
and in the end that it would somehow count

Writing poetry helps me express my feelings in ways that I cannot by words from the mouth. So I like doing it but to know someone enjoys reading them as much as I like writing them, means alot.
