You Were There

I heard a song
and I saw your face.

I fell asleep
and I felt you near me.

I woke from my dreams
and you calmed me.

Although you are not here.
I find you. In the morning breeze.
I smell your cologne.

I came home from work
and I heard your voice.

I watched our favorite movie
and I felt you sitting next to me.

Yet you weren't really there.
Although some how I found you.
I felt your warmth when I was cold.
Felt your touch and kisses when I was upset.

But how can you be here with me when your so far away.
In the land of sand, land of war, land of no love.
But baby I know where ever you are,
our love his strong.
For once a girl finds her soldier, nothing she must worry about
for he is there to protect, love, and take care of.

So no matter where you are, I know our love is strong.
For you my love, your here but your there.
Love you today, tomorrow, and to the end of the world.
