Let Her Know

If I die invane,
don't spread my name
on the walk of fame.

Just let my girl know
I loved her so
and she was my one and only.

Dont send her a letter
of my news.
Send a soldier
so she has someone to lean on.

Tell that soldier to hold her tight in his arms,
tell that soldier to comfort her the best he can.
When she starts doubting herself and the way she loved me.
Just smile and say you was the best wife anyone could ask for.

Let her know, I'll be watching over her as each day passes by.
Tell her to keep going on, for she is strong and I know she can make it.
Let her know I thought of her each and every day while I was gone.
and most of all tell her I love her.

I'm sure she knows...,

Tricia,

No one could pen such words and not know, the love and memory survive. May the soldier be as brave, strong and as gentle, as this love you shared with us.

Beautiful work/labor of love.
