Angel Of Mine
30 May, 2003

As I look into your eyes
I'm taken by surprise
I see something I've never seen before
I see the heart of an angel and maybe something more
I realize that my search is through
I've found my best friend and that best friend is you
You're the one I go to when life seems bad
You're the one I talk to when I'm feeling sad
You make me smile
You make me shine
And I'm proud to say that you're mine
My best friend through and though
And now I see that my angel is you.

------- Author's Notes -------

I wrote this poem for Kari Brueggeman, my very best friend!
Though now we barely ever talk, and I'm afraid we've both
moved on, she's the only one who really understands. For
this, she'll always be my angel.
