Defeat Defeat

Be still my heart
Beat not for that which makes you cry
Beat not for that which isn't right
Beat not for that which puts up a fight

And hush now my soul
Call not for that which empties you
Call not for that which hurts you through and through
Call not for that which isn't true

Close now my eyes
Look not for that HIDDEN behind beauty
Look not for that which doesn't, in return, look for me
Look not for that which refuses to see

But mostly, my dear heart, be still
And after the painful calm you'll be free
After the painful calm you'll no longer have a stolen beat
After the painful calm you'll, once again, belong to me

Hey Linzay! And now ladies and gentleman..........MIRAMAX presents....."Defeat Defeat". I enjoyed your poem on broken relationships. I love the way you are talking to you your heart, soul, and your eyes. Trying to soothe and calm things that damaged your spirit in this broken relationship.
GREAT JOB LINZAY!
