Mother To Mother

It was easy for you to judge me
Telling me I was incorrect
I was too hard on her
Too demanding or too strict

She hasn't turned out all that bad
Despite my over caring ways
I taught her right from wrong
That out of trouble she must stay

My actions were not perfect
Don't even think I believe that
But you were so quick to call me wrong
When I had to know where she was at

Oh I am sure there were other reasons
When your daughter picked up your gun
She thought it was okay to steal and rob
It was too late, when she decided to run

But you let her show her independence
Her gangbanger wannabe attitude was cute
Now you sing a different tune
But this gangsta rap is proof

I'm so sorry that it happened
Your lives now torn apart
In sorrow I hang my head for you
Cause your pain touches my heart

From one mother to another
From one friend to friend
We shouldn't be so quick to judge
When we haven't viewed the other end

great

I thought this was a great poem. I can really understand this poem. I have a cousin who tries to have the gangsta attitude. Now she is in jail. But great poem and continue to write them.

don't judge others

This poem is so true everyone is so quick to judge others, But I was alway's taught you never know what hand of card's you will be dealt from the deck, from birth until death...Speak less of other's and what goes around comes around;
