Kinfolk And Friends

Years have rolled past
In the tumbleweed wind
Here, at long last,
I'm in my home town again
Standing at your door,
My eyes seeing your face
Well, it's almost more
Than my poor heart can take

It's so good to be amoung
Kinfolk and friends
With the old and the young
All gathering in
So don't you be suprised
If happy tears well up in my eyes
And ro...o...oll down to my chin
It's so good to be amoung
Kinfolk and friends

You just don't know
How often in my thoughts
My soul has flown
To this very spot
I saw your eyes
Across a sea of space
And prayed with time
I'd be here in this place

It's so good to be amoung
Kinfolk and friends
With the old and the young
All gathering in
So don't you be suprised
If happy tears well up in my eyes
And ro...o...oll down to my chin
It's so good to be amoung
Kinfolk and friends

------- Author's Notes -------

Maybe you dream of boarding a spaceship and shooting out beyond the stars. Then again, maybe you realize the very best things are really not too far from where you already are. The earth is a wonderously beautiful place and, personally, the most precious treasure my eyes have ever seen is the sight of a loving, friendly face! I have spotted some right here on this planet! That's what this one's about! Thank you! ***Ben
